#34140, "test pipe or highflow cat"

i have a 99 eclipse RS and was wanting to know if i can use a test pipe or do I have to get a highflow cat. i have been told that since i have an o2 sensor before and after the cat that I can't use a test pipe and i would have to get a hfc. i live in KY where we have no emisions tests, and police could care less about loudass exhaust because of all of the bigass trucks around here with exhausts as loud as train horns. sound and smog is not an issue. if i do use a test pipe what problems can i run into. also i have a cai with a bypass valve and was wondering if the valve was really needed. my car is lowered about 2" and the filter does sit close to the ground but can water really get sucked up that far into the intake. please help!

-green 99 rs
-cai
-cheap muffler for now
-ngk 6's
-ngk 8mm plug wires
-18" konig verdics
-eibach springs
-custom carbon fiber emblem on front
-carbon fiber tails
-nice stereo but who cares about that
-looking for black leather seats from turbo
along with black carpet and panels

will post more pics when front is painted

If there's no emissions to worry about, get the test pipe.

I went with highflow cat. I have headers, High flow cat, and cat back. My exhaust is waaaaayyyy to facking loud dude...ive already been pulled over for it and havent even had it on a week yet. emoji On the up side however, My car is so much more freaking fun when getting on the highway! emoji A straight pipe wont give you much more hp about 1-3, but will rob some more low end torque than a cat. My cat is more of a straight pipe then a cat though cause there is nothing in the middle of the cat emoji
