Yes what is that vacuum hose for on the throttle body, on the side where the intake connects to the TB. WHen you unplug it it sucks mad air frmo the TB side. WHats it for?
Also, what triggers the PCV valve to open? Im imaginging that the TB constantly sucks on the PCV valve, so triggers the PCV valve to open and let the gases go from engine to TB. thanks yo

OK OK ill tell the truth. I was trying to create a fake blow off valve for my n on turbo car. The PCV blows off gases everytime you let off the gas, and blows them into the manifold. So its the perfect spot to put a BOV and everytime you let off the gas the crankcase will force the gases thru the PCV/BOV and HISS. BUT, as I have studied and found out, this blow off that the PCV uses is REVERSE what I need. Instead of the crankcase sending pressure and PUSHING the valve open to the manifold, whats really happening is the manifold is SUCKING the valve open from its end. Completely opposite of what I would need. Damnt! I know theres a way tho.....
Call me lame, but its not a fake BOV if its REALLY blowing something off.... Oh well.

If you are talking about the vac line right ontop of the TB, right above the throttle plate, its the EVAP vac line. If you follow this line, you will end up at the evap solenoid. This basically lets fuel vapor from the gas tank to be sucked into the intake, mostly for emissions purposes. If you block this line, you will most likely end up with a CEL. The PCV valve does indeed take oil vapor from the crankcase and sucks it into the intake, for emissions reasons also. When positive pressure is present in the crankcase, the pcv valve lets that pressure go into the intake to be burned off in the intake cycle.

Yeah that BOV speaker thing is lame. I dont want to be that fake. I just wanted to hook a valve up to some sort of line on our cars, for example the pcv, and have it hiss when the gases would blow by. I was talking about the pcv valve. THat was the best hope, unfortunately it wont quite cut it. Not enough pressure to open the valve and hiss. Most of its ability is coming from the other side, the manifold's vacuuming. Oh well..... Maybe Ill find some other line under the hood that could do it

ok. It's not a good idea to use the vaccum from your intake - that's why we have air filters. Even a tiny little piece of dust in the combustion chamber during combustion can hurl towards the spark plug. Plugs go bad without an air filter really quick. If you want the real sound, you're going to have to simulate it some way.
I have air horns. They are loud as hell. Got em at pep-boys for $35. The kit comes with 2(or 3) horns that vary in length, and a small air compressor pump(about the size of a can of Red Bull). If you modify one of the horns to not be a horn and just be megaphone-like, so that it doesn't honk. It would just turn the input louder(like a megaphone). Hook the compressor up to that and see if it would be loud enough for you're fake BOV. It's a very quick responding air compressor and I can assure you the horns as ACTUAL horns(the way I use them) are unbelievably loud. They'll make a deaf cripple jump out of his wheelchair. After that, it's just a matter of turning it on when you want to blow off...but that's a whole other conversation. See if that'll work for your BOV sound. You may have to play around with the size of the air line to the input of the "Megaphone" a bit, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out.
Don't suck intake vaccum without a filter or you'll be changing plugs every time you want to start the car.

THats interesting. Ill look into that air horn thing today. Didnt want to go that fake but, it sure beats a speaker. Awe well, can't remember the time any body but me looked under my hood so Ill look at it today and try something...... Ill get back to you all

Ok I tried it.
I cut the end off the air hose etc etc but in the end, the air compressor just didnt make enough air. It made alot tho, and fast. But what can I put on the end of the tubing that will make the air make sound? Like hiss or something? Hrmmmmm....
The air horn still sounded like a horn even when i cut it down, any way to alter that? please help me cook my rice

Why not... All you need is a compressor that could push 8-10PSI and then it should work right? I dont see why it wouldnt... but I am not a turbo guy... so maybe you should ask someone who has more knowledge about BOV's. -Chris b.
