I just put an intake on my car today too. i didnt hook up that thingy either until later. that shouldnt be your problem, but the check engine light comes on in my car about once a month for about a day. If the check engine light is still on tomorrow i would take it into autozone, they do free ecu checks emoji

The Pulsed Secondary Air Injection System, if you car is a 95 and this is actually what you have, was recalled for removal in '96 and never put on a 2GNT after the 95 model year. if you actuall still have a Pulsed Secondary Air Injection System, take it to the dealer and have the recall performed. The updated ECU code the flash will disable any CEL you might get from the Pulsed Secondary Air Injection System.

Are you talking about the stem that pops up out of the valve cover and connects to the intake? Your probably not, but i thought that was what the first guy was talking about, life is difficult when your a noob. my car was manufactured in Nov. 95

The pulsed secondary air injection system is a hose that connects from your stock airbox to something else down in that area. I BELIEVE the idea was to add extra air to burn unburned fuel in the exhaust but don't quote me on that. I am an idiot after all.

1995 RS
new engine, I think I'm just going to leave it stock now.

actually my cars is a 95, I listed it as 96 because it was manufactured in march 95 and has none of the stuff that everyone elses 95 has. like the secondary air thingy, and the comp. will only except 96 not 95, plus brakes only 96. Sorry but just trying to clear up that some 95's have all 96 updates rite from factory. also the feul system and mine is obd II. but it is 95 on the title.
