I keep reading all these things about people saying that they don't like to be slipped at all. I do have another car for a daily driver, but I drive in traffic and town alot when I am in the eclipse. I don't want to have to rev it up and dump the clutch just to get it moving. Is this the way they really are or is the grippy part just jumping out at me too much? I was looking at the other stages CM offers. stage 1= 70% increased holding power; 2 and 3 are 110% and the 4 is 170%. I don't beat the hell out of the car or anything and it rarely if ever sees a hard launch. No track or anything, so I wonder if a stage 1 or 2 would be better suited to my needs. can some of you guys that have experience with these please let me know what you think? BTW, when the clutch goes in, i will eventually run 15-18 psi. Thanks.
EDIT: I just did some more researching and found that the stage 4 is reccomended for race only and says "instant engagement", the stage 3 on the other hand is for turbo or nitrous street cars. It has a pretty high clamping force, too (I listed it above). The stage 3 does not have pucks like the 4, it is closer to a stock disc. I'm still unsure of what I should do. i guess some decisions are just hard.

I daily drive one, and i work in downtown Houston. if you knew what I-45 out of downtown was like during rushhour, you'd get what i'm saying. The clutch isn't that much eavier than stock, but it IS really grippy. It's not hard to daily drive at all - it's just a really cool feeling.

Like Dino said, it's fine to drive everyday. I'm always out cruising around in traffic looking for unsuspecting victims I have no difficulties driving in stop and go traffic with it....the clutch just GRABS a lot "quicker".

Thanks dino and strauss. I was just kind of leary about laying down $500 (I have a neon flywheel so ill be getting the non modular clutch set) and then finding out it's a real difficult to drive in traffic and stuff. But, it looks like the stage 4 has a really good rep so I think that's what I am going to go with. thanks again, guys.

Can someone explain why the neon flywheel with the CM4 set-up?

I'm going to use the non modular neon flywheel so I can save $300 as opposed to buying the complete modular stage 4 setup.

O.k.. but why can't we use our stock flywheels? Also what does that neon flywheel cost plus the cost of the CM4? What's the total for that?

Yeah, its cheaper to be non-modular, so when you wear out a clutch, you can just replace what you need.... not the whole assembly.

I daily drive my car with the clutchmasters stage 4 clutch. no problems. I prefer the modular unit. It works without question.
