#33755, "need some help with fuel pump"

Is there anything special I need to do the entire fuel pump assembly out? Reason I am asking is because something is fucked up with my connections. Half the time, i have to wiggle the main connection just to get the fuel pump to work. Is there any way i can purcahse new harness's?

no there is a mopar tool, but it is not needed at all

and im sure you could purchase a new harness, but you should do the fuel pump rewire mod and forget the harness, plus the fuel pump mod will help out, less voltage drop through the larger guage wire, so your fuel pump will be seeing the voltages it should see instead of a volt of 2 less

THANKS mygyvr. I am gonna do "parts" of the rewire. I am gonna elimante one of the harness. But the harness that is giving me problems is the one that actually hook up to the actual fuel pump. And im scared to take the entire fuel pump out cause i think that fuel or something is gonna go squirintg out and shit. I noticed a black hose that hookes up. If i take the black hose off (I would need to to get the fuel pump out) will gas spurt outta that or what?

Im totally confused on how fuel pumps work. Does line that acuallty takes the fuel to my engine run under my car or what?
