ok i wasn't to sure where to post this so i'm just guessing here anyway whenever i reach 2500 rpm this wierd rattling noise happens under the driver's side. i can hold it at that rpm and it will do it as long as i'm there but then anything above or below that it won't do anything? what could this be? and i'm guessing it has something to do with the exhaust system or something and i plan on getting a Cat back system pretty soon so would that make any difference? TIA...one more question i wanna get the Greddy EVO system. is it good? i want something quite while normal driving but pretty mean sounding when driving hard! thanks guys

jack her up, and look under.. make sure she's cold, and shake the exhaust tubage, to see if its rattlin..if it is, its prolly just a hanger...

as for the greddy evo exhaust, i choose the pacesetter cuz im frugal, and slapped a straight thru muffler on it.....

my guess is a heat shield busted loose somewhere and is rattling against something.

definitly the heat shielding on the exhaust manifold under the car.....Get some stainless steel hose clamps and screw some on to tighten the shielding back up....I had to do that, I had the exact same vibration at 2500rpm.

The EVO or SP are both great. They are both fairly loud but by no means obnoxious. I agree with everyone esle on the rattling though. Sounds like a heat sheild or hanger problem. Good luck.

you should see all of my hose clamps holding my heat shields on... it was funny, driving down the road and noticed one of my heat shields just laying on the side of the road.... either use hose clamps to hold them on, or tear them off (under car, not in engine bay or b4 cat). On my old 90 Skylark, the one on the cat was ratteling, brought it to Mieneke, the guy just ripped it off.
