#32986, "Blowby w/ Total Seals rings?"

I thought after reading a few places that w/ total seals there should be NO blowby. Well I have both valve cover vents going to a catchcan and when I opened it oil came out. Not any considerable amount. Just like a tiny stream and dribbles. I've got 1200 miles on the engine now and only hit 8psi like 10 times then came home and that's what came out. Is it because the rings aren't totally set or is that normal?

Yea, the rings take longer than 1200 miles to seat properly in most cases. Once the rings are seated, you shouldnt get any blow-by.

I had no blow-by during break-in(first 1000 miles). Then once I started boosting her hard after the break-in, I was getting a good amount of blow-by. Once I pounded it hard for a good 500 miles, the rings fully seated and I now currently have very minimal blow-by.

Ok thanks to the people who actually answered my question instead of asking their own and getting this off topic.

i have very minimal blow by and i have 800 miles on the engine and i boost about 6psi about once or twice a day. I actually have to put my finger on the bottom of the catch can and tap my finger on it for it to come out.

when i say very minimal i mean maybe two finger tips worth
