My girl, has a problem with her 95 eclipse. I have the same model as hers and am usually pretty good at fixing stuff but this problem is baffling me. She goes to start her car and it gets power, and the starter rotates, but yet her car doesnt start. I have noticed when she turns on her car the "check engine" does not come on AT ALL!! Every other light does that would normally come on, comes on. None of her fuses are blown, and everything seems right, except the check engine light doesnt comeon and it wont start. HELP she is driving my eclipse (because it is just a project car to me and i have another car) and it is driving me nuts seeing her drive my baby, while hers jsu sits there.

your ecu might not be doing well. chack the connections and the battery connections to it. also, test the ignition coils. and maybe the fuel system??? mine did the same thing, but it ended up in me getting a replacement ecu. i doubt that is you problem, though. good luck. cya.

I had a similar problem as well. I had to replace my ECU too. If you know someone with the same ECU, plug it into her car and see if that fixes the problem. That way you aren't just taking a guess and dropping a big chunk of change on a part that may still be good.
