^^^^what he said^^^^

Is all that polished or did you get it cromed?

Does anyone know how they polish it like that? I want to learn how to do that myself if possible.

I had it all polished at a Harley place. They did some damn good work but cost close to 400 for the intake, turbo, and valve cover but its was sure worth it.

That is one of the finest polishing job I've see, especially on those (once testured) pieces. I think it's well worth the money.

my heat shield stays off until shows now. Turned blue. I paid $20 for a really small bottle of blue away. It took the blue out. I am afraid to have anything polished like that now.

heat shield gets much hotter then anything else.. the only 'polished' or 'chrome' things in the engine bay that might blue, is the exhaust system, meaning manifold and heat sheild.. that's it.. nothing else gets hot enough.. and lots of exhaust don't even get hot enough to blue.

I would beg to differ on that.....got a friend with an older GS-T that has popped his hood and found his turbo (and I think a few other things besides the heat sheild) to be glowing orange...that sounds hot enough to me......and yes I'm sure about the turbo glowing.

now didn't I say '... the exhaust system, meaning manifold.. etc.' ?? that would include the turbo man.. it is part of the exhaust system.

how much did they charge u for the intake manifold??? If hey gave u an invoice with each part listed seperately.
Also, I can't tell if it's glare or what, but are your DOHC letters still there? It kinda looks like they just ghosted on.

The letters were shaved off and polished but there is a ghost of where the letters were. The cost for the parts being polished was

100 for intake
200 for valve cover
50 bucks for turbo
50 bucks each for the bottles

I really like how the lettes came out on the valve cover. Just like the ghost flame paint job.

Right now I'm waiting for my apex n1 exhaust so I can power up the car and drive it out of my garage. I've been working on the car since september of last year but I say another 7 months before its completly done not including rims emoji But yea I'm planing for the car to be real sweet. "Attention to detail" is what I always say. The body kit is what Ireally liked. I molded the entire thing to the car so it all looks like one piece. So thanx for saying good things and talk to you later then. Check my site out for more pics.

Hey that looks really nice. I need to do that to my turbo for $50, but $200 for the valve cover? DAMN! :o I got mine HPC coated for less than a hundred. Of course I'm sure the chrome process is more bling bling without some light hitting it. Nice work...

weasle745: and then to top it off, im not even an attractive guy. I look like Millhouse from the Simpsons, cant put on weight if my life depended on it, etc
