that can on the side has no opening. Exhaust can't flow thru, so it flows back. The old hotrodders theory that backpressure=horsepower. NO. Flow=HP. I doubt it does anything really. I'd be interested to see some dyno #'s.

what that chunk of metal does it goes into your muffler and blocks off a lot of the exhaust flow. It creates a LOT of backpressure which can give some low end torque but, on the other hand, takes away a lot of HP and can hurt your engine at the same time.

I don't know why anyone would put one of these on because, in theory, you'll gain more low end torque, but you'll prbably loose some horsepower due to less exhaust flow from that second canister.
