oil pan i know that our oil pan wont bolt up to the 2.4 block, and vice versa. and the 2.4 wont clear our exhaust & crossmember. so what if the 2.4 & 2.0 pans were cut, just under the lip(maybe 1/2" down)for the bolts, and the the 2.4 lip welded to the main part of the 2.0. its a shot in the dark. and if it worked, it would probably only work with the balance shafts removed. plus you would need to fab up a baffle. if this wont work, when i put mine together, ill just make one of aluminum.
gt cruiser pistons can we have the pistons taken off the rods, then put on backwards? i thought i saw it mentioned briefly, but someone said it may break the piston. that way we dont have to worry about hitting valves or having valve pockets machined into the pistons.
these are just thoughts, and problably wont work.
and can anyone give me the link for the hydraulic tensioner how to on the 2.4, i saw it the other day, but cant find it anymore. shoulda bookmarked it.
