When ever i drive my car (95 eclipse GS) the engine cut out with no hesistation no notice nothing. I pulled the line of the fuel filter and cranked the engine and nothing no fule no nothing. in a fit of rage i had the dealer run a diagnostics and they said i need a new computer and the couldn't pull any codes. for some odd reason they want to charge me 1000.00 dollars for a new ECM . ok this just doesn't sound right to me. Any suggestions???

well if its true you need a new computer, go to a junkyard and find one of your yr and all for like $100 or less and just replace it yourself..

Your only mistake was going to a dealer to run those tests... Truthfully never trust them. They well rip you off when ever they have a chance. I would do just as pn0ymahal said and find one at a junk yard. Usually they well let you put it on and test it and see if it works....(then you can just give them yours and say "nope this computer dint work in my car." and drive away with a new computer. But I din't say that.) Good luck with it though.
