#32427, "HELP!!!!!!! TPS and Fuel Pressure Problem"

My problems stars 1 monts ago, the Firts time the car turn off most time that I stop, the motor shake because it“s under 200 rpm or less at idle and them turn off, this problem stay for 2 weeks, some times was normal idle but at any time the problem come back. Then the problen change, Now, the idle at any time is OK, But, the cars stay turn off at any moment without any advertisment. For example, I am running at any speed an them the car just turn off, . The problem change when I clean the TPS, so I think here is the problem, so there is no code about TPS in the scan. I can“t trust in the car and I don“t know what to do about it.

I think there is problem too with my fuel system, because the lines don“t hold the fuel pressure, every time that I turn on the cars the fuel pump make a noise while the lines reach the normal fuel pressure. The Chiltos Manual show the fuel pressure regulator at the left end of the injectors rail but in my cars it don“t exist, just the line that comes from the tank at the right side, I change the fuel pump so the problem stay, exactly the same.

Where the hell is the fuel pressure regulator in the ECLIPSE GS 97, 2.0 liter ?

Thanks.

The fuel pressure regulator for the 97-99 DSMs is under the car above the passenger rear seat.

As for your idling problem, check your Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) on your throttle body. Many times it gets so blocked up from dirt that it can no longer control your idle. Since your car does die while it is already at a constant speed, check your fuel pump, fuel filter, and lines. Good luck.
