I just pulled the manifold and rail in 10 minutes a little while ago. Of course I've done it like 5 times now but if you've never done it before I'd say it's a hour job. Two hours at the most. I've done it w/ the valve cover off, upper plenum, and whole manifold off This is how I've found it easiest to do.
Just start the car and disconnect the fuel pump while it's running. Then disconnect the injector harness. Then take out the 2 8mm bolts holding in the fuel line on the driver's side of the rail. Then remove the upper plenum. If you are pretty skinny like me then you can get all 5 10mm bolts from the top of the engine. Then take off the 12mm bolts that hold the rail on. Now it's ready to pull. The injectors will just pop out, they are held in by o-rings. Uninstall/reinstall injectors w/ the clips and reverse the process.
