Ok I finally got around to changing the alternator and now the car runs and drives good. But it still does that fuel thing that I can't figure out. So I can go out for the first time that day and the car fires right up and runs and I drive it around and it's all fine. If I turn the car off and try to turn it back on it won't start. I have to disconnect the fuel pump, start it, then plug the pump back in real quick and it's fine. Now I have new plugs and wires, it's done this on stock and 30# injectors. Stock and Walbro pump. High, low, and medium fuel pressures. I've done all the variables I can think of. Does anyone have any thoughts or something I may have overlooked?

i was also going to suggest the fp relay.
to test that, just hardwire the fuel pump w/ a switch directly off the battery.
i had to try that when i was having all those electrical problems this summer. of course, my relay was fine, but hard wiring the pump took one more variable out

here's a strange question for you. does it only have problems starting while the engine is warmed up?
I had a problem with my 97 eclipse where it would only start cold. turns out that the temp sensor was bad, so the ecu would go to default 77 degree temp. with that in mind it will start cold and run (badly though), but would be WAY too rich to start warm. just a thought. btw. the cooling fan would not kick on with this problem.

I will try the relay thing. I already have a power line back there from the pump re-wire anyway And yes it fires right up when cold. The fans don't come on until the temp gauge is more than half. It wasn't coming on at all a few days ago. But I just replaced the temp sensor because the one on there was a 96 and it didn't fit the wiring harness. Do you think a new one could be bad already?
And another thing. Should the car run at 0psi fuel pressure? Mine does. And I have a mechanical gauge right on the regulator so I don't think it's off.
