That is no problem. Sometimes a group buy will come around and you can jump into it and get things for discounted price, but tell us what you want. Is your car stock? So i've heard, if you are handy with tools, the pulleys are the best first mod, bang for the buck wise. or maybe an intake if you won't be going turbo any time soon. Or exhaust, its all up to you.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Welcome to the board. Almost ANYTHING your wallet can afford is available to make your car faster and handle better. Don't waste your $$$ on crap either. Make a plan for the car, deceide if you want to turbo the car which is the best bang for the buck, or run all motor or nitrous. Then after you know your plan, READ the 1000's of posts on this board and you will see how much there is to learn so you can work on your car yourself but how much it is worth after you learn and save 1000's on labor costs. hey guys whats up!!!! well my car is %100 stock and i pretty much dont know more that drive it... ill post pics but i dont know how anyway i want to make it as bas ass as i can.. another thing i think ill go for the turbo but not now cuzz i dont have much money but some day i will.. what i want now is the first steps in mods...and where can i find the most of it($...also i had a ford Probe 2gnt SE for like almost 1 year i made alot of stuff on it like rims, interior(performance sits, metalic carpet and others.) in the engine i pretty much just put an air intake, in te exterior i just did not much modifications but i did the trick....it is a nice car but i sold it to buy this eclipse but what i find out is that this car engines have nothing in comun besides the I-4 machine... for more info my eclipse is a 5 speed 2WD...
by the way i have my car like 5 days and just buought lowering kit and new rims....
do u know like webs sites with easy mods with pics or something....

for my probe mods i used to be a member of probetalk.com so they pretty much taught me every thing about probes now i need a eclipse god to help me out in my first steps..... (no aplications) just kidding

ya know man.. if you skip all the 'show' stuff, such as rims and springs and interior/exterior dress-up/mods then you could afford the turbo kit right off the bat.

Breezio is right, unless you just want the girls, learn about your car and turbo it. On the Home page there is a specs link and it will tell you about your car. For starters, its has a Chrysler 2.01L 420a Engine, I4 and has 140hp@6k RPM's and 130TQ@4800 RPMS at the crank. It is a 16 valve Double overhead cam engine and FWD. No, the engine parts off of the turbo eclipse's will not fit your car and no, you can not swap the engines...unless your rich. stock compression is 9.6:1, 0-60 in 8.6 expected to do the 1/4 mile in 16.7 (thats a profesional diver) and has a top speed stock of 124. Thats enough info go here: http://www.2gnt.com/www/files/ntspecs.htm and you'll get all the basic info you need about your car. There are many custom parts out made for your car such as turbo kits, lsd's, and almost any bolt on mod you can think of. You said you had an intake on your old car. So i suggest you start where your familiar and get an intake. You can buy a cheap one Short ram or cold air off of ebay, or you can get them from respectable manufacturers such as AEM or iceman. Then you could get custom exhaust, and by then you should already be on your way. late.

I kinda wish I wouldn't have started visual mods. They just lead to more and more. If you just get rims, or not, lower your car right, and then turbo it, it'll look good, and be faster.

Damn you really put that into perspective. It's very true though. If I would've saved all my money from the start, I would have easily been stage three by now. When I first got on this board they was only two or three guys that were turbo'd. It was still kinda new.

But on the other hand it's also rewarding when you're walking up to your car, you stop and squint just a little and say to yourself..."damn my car looks nice." But if I could go back I would definitely choose the speed route and would have bought a GSX...

At least you have a GS dude. Those look good already. It's not us RS owners. We have some work ahead of us to get it to looks like a decent GS.

^^^ it's one reason why my zx2 still looks all stock.. and will for quite some time.. the only things I'm gonna to do it that people might be able to see are some Eibach springs.. and maybe eventually some lightweight 16" wheels (wider width and lower weight.. all for performance, and a little bit for looks).

Depending on what you want, show or go. I myself am a go person. Lets face it putting NOS or turbo on a stock engine is a bad idea. So no matter what if you want your car bad ass and fast as shit... start right. 3 simple letters I H E, Intake Header Exhaust...then work from there pistons, rods, rings, cam gears, valves, and no matter what if your eclipse is a 5 speed your clutch is going to fail at high HP. After that then your going to have a engine that can support turbo or laughing gas. Don't make a mistake by getting a head of yourself, or your engine

You must not know too much about these cars. turbo or NITROUS (NOT NOS DAMNIT) are a great way to start out in the 'go' catagory. ask anybody here that's done it. intake header and exhaust will get you a few ponies.. but nothing special and nothing that will make your car really be that much faster. so if you are just a 'go' person.. i'd rethink my stragedy if I were you. No hard feelings meant, just trying to open your eyes a little.

yeah, mine is basically a gsxr 600 but 50 pounds heavier and ifferent body panels. still, i want to know what i can do in the quarter. but i need a leather jacket and gloves damnit! oh well.

ok.....Put a turbo on your car without replacing header and exhaust... Not going to work. Now granted that if you go to hahn and get your turbo, I think even stage 1 comes with everything needed (header, intake) but still if you are just thinking about hey lets go buy a turbo and not do anything first, i feel bad for you....If you only want a stage 1 ok your car will be fine. (Alittle bit faster then a GS-T) but stage 1 just isn't enough...So lets think about stage 2 on a mostly stock engine... It's cool Ive been there with my old 95 GS. Just prepare to have your car in the shop every couple of months replacing parts. I'm not saying changing your header, exhaust, intake, pistons, rings, rods, and etc. our going to make a 12 second car... but there's proper steps to take in everything. A turbo is like sex its real f'in nice but somtimes you have to take her to dinner and a movie before she hopes into bed. Understand. Just my thoughts.

haha.. and mine is basically a Katana with a old style frame and not as much body cladding.. hehe. yeah I wanna know what she'll pull in the quarter too.. and I plan on finding out.. what's with the leather jacket and gloves comment? do ya just want some.. or do you need them to run at the strip where you are? I got a decent leather coat and GREAT leather gloves.. I love my gloves.. hehe.

well i see that this comvertation has gone to wild lol... i didnt know this was such important.... well guys id love to put turbo in my car but come on i dont have that much money now..... but i will some day.. right now i just got done rims and i was thinking of cold air intake but someone told me that if water ever get into it my engine will bloww up?????????? wow interesting so i pretty much dont know what to do.. but 1 thing is certain i want it FAST as hell i think ill beging saving some money for the turbo..,. let me think thats gonna take a least 2 years.. damn it... well.....

Dont worry about the water.... If anything your car would just sputter....and that would take a good amount of water. I mean it does rain wher you live... your car has to suck up some moisture.
