Do low compression pistons cause lower vac levels? I am almost 100%sure I have no vac leaks but I'm getting ~12hg vac at idle. Is that right or am I overlooking a leak? Does anything else cause low vac?

i'm getting close to 18hg. i would rig up a leak tester on your turbo and see if you loose any air any whare.

Is that vacuum with all accessories off? If so, 12-13 inHg is pretty low -- even with lower compression pistons. Actually, I did not see any big difference in vacuum at idle from stock pistons to 8.8:1 pistons. Just check for a possible vacuum leak.
Turbosrule, that hood and paint job looks sweeet! What kind of hood is that?
