I am doing the tranny swap from auto to 5 speed. I got this list form dsmtalk.com non turbo section:
1. 2G NT flywheel. 2. Manual pedal assembly 3. Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. 4. Manual tranny for a 420A engine. 5. Shifter and shitfer cables 6. MT mount 7 Clutch components (disk, preassure plate and throw out bearing).
My question is: will I need a MT ECU?? Does the ECU decide when an auto shifts?? If so, when I do the swap and I don't use a MT ECU will it cause problems since (I think) the MT's redline is higher than the auto's (which is 6.5K)?? And I will need a new tach gauge just for convinience right? thanks.
PS - Is my list complete??
