#31075, "Mopar's alternative to welding your differential"

During my quick review of posts of at Neons.org in regard to Phantom Grip posts, I came upon this tabbing mechanism to prevent your differential pin flying out. I think it's a pretty cool alternative to permanently welding shut your pin, and at about $3-$4, it's in my acceptable cost range! emoji

Two pics below, one on a caravan, and then next on our our own NVG-350:

Here's the courtesy web string on it as well with a lot of good info:

Thats a neat idea, wonder if the weight distribution makes a difference. As cheap as stock diffs are from a junkyard though, i'd just assume make a few welds on it and be done w/ it.

so how exactly does this change our cars? It prevents the pin from moving so it's kinda like welding but don't have to. Will this improve cornering?

it wont improve anything, its just a safety measure to keep the pin from falling out as it commonly does.

Sounds like something Mopar should have been doing after the 1rst few yrs of production. Bastards knew the diff pin is prone to coming out.
