My local metal platter can't (or won't) crome my valve cover if it's aluminum.

Does anyone know if it steel or aluminum?

Yeah my guy will plate it but for like $150. If it were steel it would have been $60. I think I am just going to polish mine.

It is aluminum.
Tell them to Elecroless nickel plate it first, then chrome plate it
it will be okay.
