when you cut the shifter do you have to cut it at any angle or just a strait cut and then weld it .iam going to have a welder that i know cut and weld it,how should i tell him to cut it.

Cut it straight.

Have him cut at the "Straight" part of the shifter.

You should be able to take off 1.5" then have him grind smooth it out so that it sits straigt and then weld the heck out of it.

Then all you have to do is put the shift knob back on - I switch my stock shift knob with the Greddy Shift Knob (Chrome/Red).
