#30294, "help! how can I take off the intake manifold?"

I cannot even take off the upper intake manifold. There are 3 bolts in the middle and it is bolt up from the bottom. how can I reach them?
I had the CHilton but it didn't mention how to reach them.

You can take the whole manifold off if you jack up the car and use long extenders for the wrenches. The only way is to get at it fron underneath the car, once you're under there, there should be enough room to remove it. It's not really difficult, just time consuming.

I am not looking at the car, and I've never done this...so I don't know how to specifically do it. But I'll tell you one thing that's helped me through a ton of problems like this. Get a 90 degree angle driver for your tool kit. Trust me, it will save you a lot of headaches and it may help you here.

Your really having that many problems getting it off?

It's only a few bolts underneath + removing sensor wires.

You just need to have patiance and a new gasket (or you have a small vac leak like me emoji )

Jack the car up a few ft, maby 18 inches or so, get under it with a 1/4'' drive and some extensions, a wobbly extension before the socket will get those hard to reach ones... And if you really want to, you can drop the exhaust down out of the way, but you dont need to. You think thats hard, try removing and beating on new axle seals with a rubber mallott with the tranny in the car... just got done putting the suspension back together, and those seals took forever... my mallot was a smidle too small i guess... and not enough room to get a swing on it. The manifold is a cake walk emoji

I had no problem with getting the axle seals in. Getting them out, however, was a bit of a challenge. Another thing to remember is that NVG-T350 fluid does not taste good nor does it work well as a hair styling product.

I took it off from the top, i took out the battery and washer fluid container, and got at it that way. Just take it one bolt at a time and you'll get it done. Once you do it once you will be able to fly taking it off again, if you ever need to.
