Mine has never jumped, and I have the AFX pulley too. Something isn't lining up right in the belt path. I do belive mitsu has a recall on the power steering pulley becuause it doesn't line up properly on some cars..look into that. A narrower belt will prob help too, but doesnt really fix the main problem.. Also be sure your tensioner pulley is working properly, and you have proper belt tension..no more than 1/2" deflection of the belt at the longest stretch between pulleys...

Dont take it to a shop. Its easier than changing your oil. Just go get a new belt and put it on. I have had problems in the past with my belt coming off but now I use the kelly springfield belts form autozone and havnet had one come off yet. ANd make sure you tighten it up after about a week or two of use. It will stretch a little.
