#29835, "V8 sounding 4 banger"

Damnt his car has been giving me a lot of problems and I'm hating all of it. At idle the car sounds fine for like 3-5 seconds, then it just sounds like it's misfiring, or more like a v8. fuel pressure is fine and set at 55psi. I used some fuel injector cleaner early on during the week and I now I'm running rich, but I"m not boosting. Shortly after as I was driving, the car sounded like it was about to shut down, then it was fine again. During the 15 minute drive home, the car stopped acting up. But at the turbo timer was counting down, that same ole V8 sound came back. And my damn ground to the alternator keeps melting off. Got so bad that the black housing that keeps spark from hitting the alternator melted off too. Anyone have solutions for my two problems? I got 480 miles on the new engine.

I love them. Have had them in for almost a year now and no problems. Have yet to pull them to check the condition. I want to find a digital camera so i can post pics of the plugs when i do.

***Also they work great in combination with my msd wires***

i just switched it out for the a new set of ngk bkr6 gapped at 35. I noticed car makes that sound when the rpm drops to about 500. Then sometimes it just push itself back up to 800. Maybe the IAC, gotta take all this wire off again and work play with it. I love it when it runs with no problems, but I hate it when it does.

Idle problem, maybe: MAP, IAC, O2 sensor?

Your alternator problems ounds like you have a short in teh woiring, check the run on the wiring and make sure that it's not frayed or anything. It is possibly a problem with the alternator itself...
