The shop that is rebuilding my short block is going to use JE piston rings along with JE pistons and Eagle Rods. Are the JE rings good? Is anyone using them? (I'll be boosting ~15psi.)

I went with JE rings too. I've heard of a few bad occurances with Total Seal rings, so opted to go with JE. They're a little cheaper too!

I'd take the rings that were made for the pistons over file-to-fit rings any day...

That makes me feel comfortable about using them. The guy that's doing the work said that he always refuses to use the total seal rings because he wouldn't feel comfortable giving a guarantee for his work. I can't wait for my T3 to go on.
