I have this weird vibration (slight but annoying) that comes through the steering wheel at around 3700 - 3900 rpms - in any gear or out of gear.... I have no idea what it is... I also have some sort of exhaust rattle that I can hear around 3k. The vibration started after I had my clutch installed in an emergency - any ideas?? Thanks all.

Okay...someone explain exactly what this means - and can I stop this from happening - how long did your car do this for before it spun the bearing - were there any other symptoms????

Yea man, it sounds like you've got a spun rod bearing, that's exactly what mine was doing however it's louder if you pop the hood and listen and mine was at different RPM's mine was around 2600 - 2900 and I found out it was my 4th cyl Rod bearing that was spun... sucks but true!!

My oil is changed on the dot at 3000 miles --- this problem started right after I had my clutch changed - I would lean more towards an improperly installed clutch or something else to that effect rather than a spun rod bearing. One other thing I just noticed is that it is more prominent when I am decelerating (foot off the gas - and the gears are slowing me) then when I am accelerating - I am going to have it checked out tomorrow by a local mechanic - but anyone else got any ideas?
Thanks.
