#28876, "super short shift!"

i tried the mod.where you cut your shifter,it was o.k. but not what i was lookin for,so i went to the shop,,,,,was going to cut and weld,to make my shifter look just like the b&m,but all i did was move the point where the shifter cable hooks to the linkage on the tranny,i thought of this when i was changin my clutch,,it worked, all i did was take the cable loose after removing the intake tube and the battery plate, access was easy,i took a small c-clamp,to test where i wanted to mount the cable,,,i drilled a hole about 1.5 inches from the stock location, and used a bolt to secure the cable'''not too tight, use lock nutts, cause if you overtighten it will be hard to shift.,,,,anyway, just thought id share i have never heard anyone do this before, and it worked great, and saved $160,,anyway i know this is a long post but oh well}>
