How hard is it to install the starter? What do I need to do? I think my starter is going bad and I don't want to take it to the mechaninc, I want to do it myself. What's the average price of a starter? Thanks in advance!

its real easy to remove, and autozone has a tester for it. What problems are you having, it might not be the starter.
If you think its the starter, try next time when its not starting to tap the case of the starter with a bat or wrench to see if you can knock loose the stuck contacts and chekc if it starts, if the tapping seems to help then yes it could be the starter. Alot of times its not though

In the morning or when the car has been off for a long time it will start, but if I were to turn it off and then try to turn it on again, it won't start. It will turn a couple of times, but thats it. Sometimes I'm lucky if it starts again, but I have to keep pressing the pedal and it takes a couple of seconds to start. Many peopl has told me it may be the starter. I'll try what you told me to do and see what happens. Thanks for your reply!
