I know a few of you have looked into this before. Well I have one sitting on my floor. I'm gonna put it in. I know the wires that I have to use (crank angle sensor and the cam position sensor). What I don't know is the dip switch setting on the back of the unit and the car type knob? Michael, Todd, I know you guys were looking into this ... got any clues?

I still have one, I think I am going to sell it

installing it shouldn't be too bad, but I have no idea what to set some of the switches on the back of the thing to

the thing is, I am not sure if the thing will actually work for our cars, and I don't want to hack up my wiring harness unless I'm sure it will work

You didn't read the link, did you, Todd? iut has the settings for the dipswitches. Since the 4g6 uses a crank and cam angle sensor, same as we do, it stands to reason the switches should also be the same.

Install the sucker. it can't hurt. Either that or sell it to me for $1.

"11. Set the CAR SELECT setting on the ITC unit to D.

12. Set the 8 dip switches on the ITC unit to the following: up, up, down, down, up, down, down, up

13. Ensure all connections are tightly made up and are well insulated.

14. Connect the ITC wiring harness to the ITC unit."

Most of the switches might be the same, but that might not be the case, I can't be sure. It should actually be easy to figure out at least most of the dip switches, as I was able to find out what some of them are actually for (I wrote it down and it's at home, I don't remember off the top of my head what they are for, except I think the first one is for setting the timing to go +/- 5 degrees or +/-15 degrees)

The dip switches can be figured out, but the big problem Dino is the other two switches. There is the "car select" and "type select" switches on the back of the thing, I have NO idea what they mean or what to set them to. It is possible they are totally different from the 4g63.

Possibly. or it could be something as simple as "4cylinder, magnetic pickup crank trigger" which would be the same across both cars.

Just install the thing, or sell it to me for $1 so i can try it emoji

Well, I'll try and get it in my car in this next week. Maybe I'll have all the settings. We even have a datalogger to check to see if it's working or not.
