are you crazy, I live in the NW suburbs of chicago (Vernon Hills)and its been hot/humid as hell here. Your turbo, the loss of weight itsnt going to help much at all if any, supposedly for every 100 lbs lost its like gaining .1 sec in the 1/4 mile.

I live in Indiana and I dropped my ac system completely out... for now... it does get a bit warm here in the summers at times, not unbearable, but then again, I don't drive my car everyday... It's always being worked on for months, driven for weeks, worked on for months, and the process keeps repeating, but I like working on it and learning bout engines... hehe I'd say that it was atleast 50lbs of unsprung weight... that tensioner assembly weights a good bit too... I doubt having a shorter belt and less pulleys did much of anything though, more just unsprung weight issue... Every little bit helps if you can live with the negative aspects... Help's to get your car more even in weight too i am sure.
