i was drving about 10 mph when i heard a rattling noise and my car stalls. i get out and open the hood to see my timing belt is broke and theres the water pump gave out and i lost all the fluid. is this engine a low clearence engine? i guess if it is then ill have bent valves?? please help ppl

Yeah, you probably got some bent valves out of the deal. I am not sure what you mean by low clearance...do you mean non-interference engine? If so I don't think it is, but I am not sure. Just curious,what was your mileage when it broke?

The motor is definately an interference design. Alot of people on this board have bent valves after blowing the timing belt.

You may not have bent valves, but from what I've read - you most likely will have some bent valves.

Can you say free engine?? You're still under warranty, right? Have Mitsu fix it, and make sure they do it right, and take it back EVERY time you notice something unusual. Buy some forged pistons and have them throw them in!!

shit...95 wit only 34,000 did you check to see if they rolled that damn odometer back? do the numbers line up right? either that or they just let that biatch SIT for a long damn time. Anyway, i have a 95 bought it in 98 with 45,000 i just rolled over 100K and I have NOT changed my belt YET.. emoji...i have everything to do it...just lazy..i guess i will learn the hard way...(fingers crossed...}>)
