Only way to raise compression is new pistons. You can buy a bored out throttle body at www.howellautomotive.com. Or you can send yours to them and have them bore it for you. Now this is what you should get...
I see you have no mods on your car yet. First start out with a Cold Air Intake(AEM,IceMan). And then get an AFX underdrive pulley from the site I mentioned above. Then get an exhaust. And after all those, then get the throttle body.

I wouldnt worry about looking stock... you've got rims anyways, so people are gonna know your starting to mod her a little bit. Just dont get a huge ass tip. ARD will bore your stock tb for a real reasonable price, I had more than that done by them, so I dont remember how much just the tb was, maby 80 bucks tops. Might as well ship then the intake manifold too while its apart nad have it ported and polished, and gasket matched.

you CAN get the compression raised another way, by milling the head.. but it's not a good idea at all and can cause lots of problems.. mainly with cam timming cause you are changing the distances with the timming belt cam gears.

The throttle body at Howell (http://howell.mountain.net/Talon/DSMPulleys.html) is 55mm. I heard the stock throttle body is around 46 or 49. Is this significant enough or would a 65 to 70 be that much better or too much. -Steve

Our stocks TBs are 52mm, i believe, Howell bores them out to 55mm and ARD in houston can do them to 57mm. You can also do the Jeep tb mod which is a 60mm. That is the biggest we can do for right now, unless something new just came up.
