Ive noticed that 3 times in the past month (maybe more but havent noticed), when I am leaving school, my car will give off a lot of exhaust for about the 4 minutes that i drive it. Doesnt happen all the time but still more exhuast than normal. I notice it most when I come to a stop and take off. What could this problem be? It goes away after driving for about 5mins.

I got a smoking car too man. Mine smokes only after the 4th or 5th trip of the day and gets progressively worse. There's all this white smoke when I come to a stop. This one time I was in front of a Camaro and my car was all smoking, it was friggin embarrasing! And it only got worse when I revved it. It stops smoking while I'm moving though, or so it appears.

What color is the smoke? White? If so it could be a headgasket from what I've heard. However, I did a compression check on my engine (w/97k miles) and got perfect results across the board (210 to 230). I'm stumped, I'm thinking I should just go ahead and replace my headgasket anyway and hope that fixes my problem. Anyone else have any input?

Are you losing any coolant ? oil in coolant ? I think I'll go with Mannyyy's opinion it might be your headgasket is leaking.Anyone else have an idea ?

Nah, that's probably just water from the AC condensor. That happens whenever it's hot and humid and you turn the AC on. I could be wrong, but I don't think that's related to the smoke.

hey easy smell it or maybe even taste it. where is the puddle at if its under the ac compresor than its just water what color was the smoke and how does your car feel. when u rev the engine hard doesthe puff of smoke come out, if so then it might be(most likely) your o2 sensors get some new ones and it may fix it mine does that too and it was not the head gasket cause i just replaced mine and it still does it so im sure thatits the O2 sensors because the car feels great..
try it and it may be the answer..besides its a good idea to replace the o2 sensors i will do it next week so ill let u know when i get mine
peace...
your car is hella sweet

Well its not a puddle of fluid, its only drops. I think it is water because one time I saw the drops and they were very clear. Whats weird is that this has only happened when leaving my school and no where else, and only about 3 times in a month.
Yes, the higher i rev, the more smoke. How much are you paying for your o2 sensors? Let me know how it works out. Thanks for the help.

If you have oil in your coolant you should see it in your coolant reservoir(probably globs of oil). Have your coolant temps gone up ? Has your cars performance dropped drastically ? If your head gasket is gone ,it may affect your 02 sensor. Get your codes checked also (I think its free at Autozone). If I'm wrong someone chime in .
