Well I cleaned out my throttle body and I also cleaned out the IAC and tested the ohms on it and everything is clean and the ohms are fine. BUt now instead of my car having the rpms go to far down when I press the clutch in it dos something different. When I am driving and I let off the gas and press the clutch or put it in nuetral the rpms stay at about 1500 untill the car stops rolling. Then it drops down to around 800. Is kinda weird. The car knows when it isnt rolling and then lowers the rpms? How the hell does my car know it isnt rolling any more?

my car does the exact same thing. before it learned it's new fuel map it would rev high like up to 2200, but now no matter what if i am driving and coming to a light and take it out of gear and roll to a stop the car will remain at 1500 until i actually stop. the only thing i can think of is that that the ecu keeps the rpm's up in case youare going to put it in gear? but i have had this forever and it has never really been a problem.

My car does the same, but it doesnt go over 1300 rpms, when coasting to a stop, then once i stop, it drops to 800-900 rpms, as this is normal. This has been brought up before, and if i remember right, it does this to aid in braking. If you take a look at your boost gauge when you let off the gas in gear, or coming to a stop, you will notice that you are pulling a lot of vacum, 20+ hg's at least. This helps the brake booster do its job, as more vacum to it means easier braking.

Yeah, the brake booster and the power steering pressure are monitered, and the ECU adjusts the idle to compensate for that. Also, my car did that when I had a mega vacuum leak.
might wanna check for a vac leak...

I fixed it. Since I out on the new throttle body gasket it has stopped. Now it idles at like 1000 instead of 1500 when i let of the gas. THen it drops to 800. It had a major leak there. And the boost builds up so much faster now! 9psi feels good. But 15 psi is going to feel really good tomorrow!!
