ok the other day i got home and my car was steaming,,I looked under the hood and there was absolutly now fluid in the raditor fill or the reserve, I checked the temp and it was at red. Well after flushing and filling everything back up. It did it again. Well after messing with it for awhile I saw that there was steam coming out of the exhaust and what looked like exhaust bubbles at the radiator fill.. So the car has been parked for about 4 days now(saving up money for tools and parts). Today I had to goto the store and had no choice but to drive the car. Well it didn't over heat but it emptied the radiator again. Well I looked under the hood again and one of the hoses is busted. So my question is,,will it be hard to replace,how much would one cost. On the head gasket could that hose cause the bubbles in the coolant, and the steam out of the exhaust? Or is there still a chance that the headgasket might be out. There is no water in the oil and the car seems to drive fine(other than a lack of power since I put a short ram and exhaust, but I think that has to do with the fuel filter and the need for a new valve cover gasket). Any ideas and or tips very welcome this is my only car and I desparatly need it.

Yes definitely change the hose and then see whats up, any problems in the cooling system can cause wierd results, and if the hose has a leak in it then air could have been getting sucked into the closed system and cause the air bubbles, that does however seem to be some symptoms of a bad hg BUT I would change out the hose first then see if there is still some funny stuff going on.

they are 4 hoses 2 really small and 2 big ones, the 2 big ones connect the engine to the radiator, they are around 10 to 20 for them at either at napa, kragen, autozone or at satan. you don't need a lot of tools you just need to take off the clamps on the edge of the hoses. remove the hose, install the new hose, and again put the clamps in place.
About bubbles in the water, that to some degree is normal, i just put watter wetter in my car, it helps to form bubbles and lowers the temp in the car, it looks like soapy water.
