Hello,

I have 68k miles on my car now, and it is time for me to do my timing belt. I would also like to take this time to do my AFX Underdrive pulley.

Anyway, here's my main question...

I'm not going to get my timing belt change done at the dealer, going through the local greese monkey. I need to tell them exactly what I need done, and bring them the appropriate parts.

Now, what all do I need done at this point? Am I supposed to get this VR4 fuel pump everyone has? New water pump? What else? What exactly needs to be done? Got any part numbers and stuff? I would like to do the appropriate upgrades where necessary.

Water pump, cam gears, and forget about the fuel pump unless you have some NOS going on or a turbo. The extra fuel qwill be put to waste and running rich ruins cats.

Anyway get those 1st few things done at the change with your pulley

So the water pump is a required fix? If so, where do I go to get this part?

Im not sure weather or not to do those cam gears, I don't want to run the risk of them slipping (bolts) and I wouldnt really know how to set them... Better yet, I just dont know enough about them. =\

1. Do you gain any horsepower just from installing these cam gears, or is it all depending on the setting?

2. Do I have to have new camshafts?

3. What are the best settings?
