If your in a cooler climate, removing the AC system will get rid of quite a bit of unsprung weight... Other than that, get rid of the heavy gas tank and relocate it to the trunk... You can remove the evap system and egr system if you want... if you dont mind a CEL, I just took the bulb out and datalog it every now and then. Get rid of spare tire if ya got the balls emoji Get lighter rims... blah blah.. lots you can do.

Whats the link for the company that makes Fiberglass parts tahts based in canadia? Also some lexan windows would be nice!! On a similar question, do lexan windows all have to be all thin and bendy like in racecars, or can it be thicker so it provides more realworld safety(someone breaking in) and useability? TIA

I think you mean battery emoji
And if you are going to be serious about weightloss check out this link. All fiberglass parts for the DSM. Oh and for the RX-7 guy in here, they have lexan and fiberglass stuff for you as well. Enjoy saving 400 lbs.

No I think he meant fuel tank. Battery would make jack shit of a difference in weight, where as getting rid of a huge tank and replacing it with a much smaller fuel cell, you could save considerable weight, if you are willing to be filling up your gas every damn day, shit I do already anyway, so Id be doing it twice a day.

~It has been a very sad week for me. I lost to my girlfriends 3g RS. It is auto. Mind you my ignition is out on my #2 coil pack, my second gear synchro is out so I gotta double clutch, my compression is down about half in one of my cylinders, and my MAP s

replace the rear hatch with a fiberglass one with lexan window (I thought somebody was selling some.. atleast that's what I thought I read in a thread a while back). that'd save mucho weight. oh, and take everything out of the interior that you don't absolutly need, make a custom dashboard out of fiberglass, or carbon fiber, or even alumunum.
