My car has recently started smelling like its burning oil but can't figure out what the problems is. I've checked the oil duh and its perfectly clear and up to the line. I just got it changed like about 3 weeks ago. I only have to drive it for like 5 miles and it starts to smell. I am not even pushing it either, this is just normal driving. If someone might have an idea on what it could be lemme know. tia

Might be your valve cover gasket leaking oil onto valve cover, then it would just burn off and start to smell. Pop the hood and check for leaks (expecially by the screws on the valve cover).

I have a leaky oil pan gasket, and it leaks out onto the transmission, and exhaust downpipe. Jack up your car and check it out. Be careful if it is getting onto your exhaust, it may catch on fire!! I smell an insurance claim!!!!!!

i asked awhile back about it, and others posted similar occurance, but its not "normal" i guesss.... (normal to burn 1qt of oil per 3kmiles?? prolly has sumthin to do w/it..)
just take a good look under, and behind your engine as well as what u can see standing up....
