a few days ago i discovered that there was absolutely no fluid in the resivoir for my hydraulic clutch - the pedal was flopping to the floor. i filled it up, pumped pressure back to the line - but now there is almost no pressure there at all - just enough to disengage the clutch and get it in gear. the car is drivable, but for how long i'm not sure. is there any way to get more pressure back to the line? any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Usually it takes a few days(not even that long) to get pressure(fluid) back into the clutch line. If it doesnt improve you may have to have the clutch line bled.

It sounds as if, when you filled it back up, you didn't get all the bubbles and air out of the clutch line. You need to get one of those bleed-kits and bleed out your clutch fluid until you don't see any more bubbles(fill the master cylinder at the same time though so it never runs to the bottom). You might also need to find a leak where you lost all your fluid in the first place.

You're losing pressure, though, because you have air in your clutch line.

I couldn't have put it better Jason.

But the bleeder kit is over-rated. All you need is a friend. A legnth of vacuum hose would help but not necessary. I just sprayed the brake fluid all over my radiator, and that damn reservoir is so small to fill with a big bottle of brake fluid. So I had a wee bit o smoke coming from the car for a few days when I bled the system after doing the restrictor mod.
