I was just wondering where everyone is going in terms of speed...NA or T... I am still very undecided...cant figure out if I wanna stay NA or go T, I know that the bigger HP comes from dropping a Turbo but than I have to save for a while to get the cash to do it...plus worry bout something happening...sux

I did the NA thing for awhile then i thought humm I would like to win a race or two. But seriously Turbo turbo turbo. I bought this car with a turbo in mind it just took awhile like 5 years but my car is paid off and I'm boosting as soon as i stop this damn CEL light from coming on....

i was going to go turbo, infact i still have the turbo, the intercooler, and the injectors sitting in box's in my garage. i spent months researching and learning. but then i realized that with such a huge increase in compression on a stock engine...my engine wouldnt last half as long then if i just left it alone. at first i didnt care but now moving out came up and that is pretty important on the list of prioritys so now i am just going to get rid of the stuff and start putting away money for an engine rebuild. then when i rebuild ill just get the 12 compression rebuild kit from howell and a few other nice mods that i havent done yet like udp and stuff. i figure with the fresh rebuild with the 12 compression and cai and my exhaust and all the other stuff, ill be able to win at least more than a race or two.

I'm still undecided as well. I would like to be boosted but I might just build the engine from top to bottom and just squeeze the hell out of it. decisions, decisions..............

Depends on what you want, or how fast you are willing to go, or how slow of a speed you are willing to suffer at
I'm still sticking with NA because I'm still having fun with my car (I've even won a few races here and there or put up a very good fight against cars that are supposed to be alot faster than a non turbo eclipse), and I still seem to be having some small amount of sucess with it.
I know alot of people would like to see me break 14s all motor (I would like to see me do it too!) and I am going to try my best, but not at the expense of the car being a daily driver. It still has to run right at low rpms, still have to have air conditioning, still needs to have an interior, ect... If I can't do it without gong nuts then that's it. I think it is possible, that's why I'm still trying
I'm curious as to how far I can push the car without going crazy. Well, crazy by my defenition that is. After I've tried everything that I consider is reasonable (without spending too much money or sacrificing the car as a daily driver) then I'll move on to something else. Maybe another car (1st gen AWD, Spyder GS-T, Lancer EVO???) or by then it would be turbo or nitrous time for my car. But,I have a while before I make that decision.

if you had the money and really wanted to run 14's NA you could be doing it tommarow (or as fast as the mechanic can work hah). i mean just get the 12.5 bottom end kit from howell and be done with it.

Going Turbo...I got 6 more loan payments then the car is officially mine. At that point i am going to buy another car and the eclipse will be strictly for the hook up so no need for daily driver worries.
