i hear it increases power an torque..i dont believe that..im saying it can hep liek good wha 7 hp.. and ta sit..can be wrong...can someone help me?...rookie to tha game

well what a cold air intake does is that it suckes in the colder more denser air in. the denser the air the more oxygen it has. thus when combustion occurs more of an explosion happens making more power. and the point of getting a bigger exhaust or a more free flowing exhaust is to let the exhaust flow free-er and thus letting more fresh air into the combustion chamber for a more powerful explosion. the down side of getting a bigger exhaust is that the suction that the exhaust air makes as it leaves sux more air into the chamber which is good but bad at the same time. bad because it the air will not mix very well with the gas and will thus not burn as efficiantly making less power. it dpesnt matter how much air is cmin in if the fuel is not mixing witht the air, all that air is usless. hope this helps. and sorry im not very good at explaining things so you might have to read it again. hehe
