My Eclipse GS 97´s engine is leaking oil, where is leaking ? If you are in front of the engine, the oil leaks from the rear right cormer´s engine (corner from the Cylinder #4), looks like leak come from head is assemble with block, does any one knows what the hell produce this shitttttt ? and what can I do to stop the oil leaking ?

Yep, you got it now, this is the typical oil leak, you will need to replace the headgasket, it is caused by the head bolt near cylinder #4 was not tapped deep enough causing the head to not properly seal in that location causing the gasket to fail and the oil leak, This is where everyones will fail. Your lucky though maybe there is a hidden warranty through chrysler if you are the origional owner and have less than 80K miles, if so call chrysler customer service and open up a case, they usually cover everything but like 200 bucks or so. IF you dont meet the criteria your looking at a pricey headgasket replacement. If your mechanically inclined you can do it your self but if not check with local shops to see what they charge, get the timing belt and water pump replaecd at the same time. But dont go to Satan unless your covered by warranty, they wanted 1200 to replace mine but most can find shops that will do it for 6-800 bucks

I have the same thing, and it gets all over the tranny, left suspension, and exhaust pipe, and it stinks!!!! What can we do????? I hope there is a cure for me since I'm living in Germany, but they did do my ball joint recall.... And if I do get the head gasket done, what cheap mods can be done to the head??? P&P??
