#26453, "New/Used Engine"

Does anyone have any place they suggest that would give a good deal on a new/used motor (420A) Thanks.

I have been with out my Eclpse for almost a year after frying my engine with NOS. Figured i should get it fixed.

erm you can try gettin those used car ads that you see lying around in those boxes and stuff near stores. They'll have tons of engine places in there. Call each one and get the cheapest price. THat's how I found an engine for my MR2.

You can try looking at http://www.car-part.com There you can check out which registered salvage yards have the parts that you need. Good luck.

Two options:
1. Instead of getting a new 420A, get a 2.2Liter crate engine. It's an engine you won't fry with NOS and it won't cost you much more. They are available at www.HowellAutomotive.com.
2. Try www.greenleafauto.com. They'll get you anything you want. I'm sure they'll have a 420A near you.

Will the Crate 2.2 engine work with the Stock Tranny?
Do you have any more info on this engine?

The 2.2 block is plug and play. It's the same exact block as the 2.0 except it's a stroker kit. You don't have to get a custom anything. Just take the old block off and put the new one in. As simple as that.
