Well, I need to go get my ball joint recall done so the car is going to satan on monday. But I noticed tonight while driving home that there is this rattling coming from the engine on the passengers side. Its nothing obvious, which worries me. Its loud around where the cam gear covering is...but it sounds like its underneath the cam gears.....

Its a low rattling, more of a tinkering sound. Its obvious at low RMP's but I can't tell if it quits or not through the RMP band due to the loudness of my exhaust and intake. Kind of a vauge description but if it sparks any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Either way, I'm taking my car to the dealer Monday....I dunno if I should have them look at it or not since I have mods and my car is still under warrenty. I/H/E/P&P Intake Mani/bored TB.....I am assuming this is going to void some stuff. Man, I hope its nothing serious.

Any idea what the sound might be related to?

well they will have to do the recall, but you need to replace all your aftermarket engine parts off before you go to the dealership. They got a new TSB out saying that any aftermarket modifications will void the cars warranty whether it was the cause or not. I had to take my Intake and exhaust off in order to get my spun bearing taken care off.

Is your car rattling at idle only??? You should pop the hood and rev the engine using the throttle cable on the TB.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I dropped the car off this morning and they called me about 20 mins later. Said everything could be taking care of under warrenty. They didn't seem to have a problem with the obvious mods(i/h/e). They were cool as hell about it and said not to worry no charge. The rattling sound I was hearing was a water pump bearing that had gone bad. Its all taken care of. Picking the car back up tomorrow emoji
