#26267, "high speed+distance durability of eclipse."

sorry, i am posting this in here after already posting it in another (general) conference. no one bit.

hey guys i just wanted to know if some of you could give your opinion on this one. this last winter i went snowboarding alot and drove my eclipse there alot. i live in the east san francisco bay area. fremont, ca.(i say fremont because nobody has heard of "newark")
i drove to sierra at tahoe alot, about a half a dozen times maybe. during my trips in the morning on the way there id get from fremont all the way out to stockton in 45 minutes. and id be at sierra's parking lot 2 hours later. heres what mapquest says: Starting from: Newark, CA 94560-1664
Arriving at: Twin Bridges, CA 95735-9505
Distance: 200.9 miles Approximate Travel Time: 5 hours 3 mins
HAHA.
well so i was wondering, how well do you think our cars can handle high speed at extended periods of time like that? my general rule is keep it at 4k or below. i want to get the 5th gear of a damn neon put in my tranny, so my rpm's will be lower in 5th. well i take excellent care of my car, the fluids are always perfect, i rock synthetic, it has 92k now. it was in its late 70k early 80k when i was doing all the tahoe trips i guess.
well tell me what you think. cause i am going to be going camping in yosemite, and then cruising down to southern cal to hang at th ebeach for a few days and then back up here to the bay. this is going to be in early august, so i want to know how hardcore ill be able to drive it, while trying to stay clear of all those new fancy super charged camaros the chp has rollin out there now. DAMN. those are crazy.
thanks,
-paul.

I ran an average of 125mph from Beaumont to Dallas. I believe thats a little over 300 miles. It was an emergency though. No problems. Changed the oil the next day, my Mobil 1 had turned a bit foamy emoji She still runs good, goin strong with almost 113k miles.
