I recently installed Energy Suspensions front engine torque mount polyurethane inserts and now I can feel every little vibration that the car makes. I only installed the front mount, I have yet to install the rear one. I was out on the highway just before I installed them and my car drove as it should. After I installed them, I got back on the highway doing about 75-80 mph and my teeth almost rattled out from the vibrations. It is like I have badly balanced wheels or something. I am pretty sure the mount is installed correctly cause it is not a very hard item to install.

I can feel things moving, vibrating, or grinding when I turn my steering wheel or step on my brakes. When I go through a turn, it feels like there is resistance on the steering wheel, or like my steering wheel is grinding something. When I come to a stop, the brake pedal vibrates (not like wrapped rotors) like a very fine vibration or grinding feeling. When I accelerate, like going onto an onramp, every panel inside my car vibrates louder than when I have my subs turned on.

The front inserts just insert onto the stock mount, and then you use the large metal washers to clamp them down when you bolt the engine to the mount, right?

Does anybody else use these motor mount inserts and have these types of side affects? I am scared to put the rear torque mount or tranny mount inserts on.

I have them on and i can only feel the vibration at idle. I didn't put the washer.

This weekend I will try to remove the metal washers to see if that helps. Otherwise I am removing the inserts to make sure that they are the culprit of my annoying vibrations.

Could there be something wrong with my tranny that would cause vibrations? I can always hear this rattling sound from inside my tranny, and it goes away when I push on the clutch. It will come back after I release the clutch, but perhaps something in the tranny is causing my vibrations and I just did not feel them as much before the motor mount inserts.

Time to see AAMCO.

I got my front and rear mount in and runs fine, except for idle, it vibrates like hell...and I did'nt see any performance gain from that....oh well..maybe its because my clutch is dead.

I have a solid front motor mount and I dont even feel any vibrations on the highway at all. Only at idle and above 5000rpms (which I dont see much on the highway). Maybe something else is going on there. Recheck everything to make sure.
