OK .. Long story short, hydrolocked my engine. Am in the process of rebuilding it, Satan wants 180$ for the rings. So I said fudge that and went lookign elsewhere. Looked at the local autostores and wound up ordering a set from Advance Auto (partsamerica.com).. Ordered Sealed Power, seemed like an OK brand. Well they said for the 95 they were 85mm bore, when I got them tonite I was installed and noticed wtf they are too small! So i checked the piston, it was around 87ish. Checked in the manual and the 95 lists around ~87MM bore! The 1st gen was a 85bore.. So I checked thruogh their website more, each year 95, 96, 97, 98, etc has a different part/size for the rings.. Am I going crazy-- I thought all the 2gNT engines were 2.0 excluding the Syder?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really DONT want to fork over the 180$ to Satan, I mean not being able to just purchase rods (you have to purchase the piston and rod pressed already for 130$) was enough of a handjob.

Sounds like they gave you rings for a 1g..
Just because you have stock pistons doesn't mean you can use aftermarket rings. Think Hastings, JE, even total seal if you have to. Howell carries stock bore rings.
