Okay I di a search and didnt find much. I havent relly don shit to my 98 eclipse yet but am planning on gettin a turbo system an then hopefully bottom end built up so i can boost more. I've done my homework and my pla so far is starteding with a hahn stage one an then getting a smic off of a supra (herd it works well any ideas on that welcome) then of course all off the needed tuning, gauges, and most importantly fuels sytem upgrades, the problem is i was plannin on buyinf the bottom end kit offereby Howell automotives but a buddys (GS-T Owner) is trying to tell me the forged pistonsand rods ar only fo racing because they will go bad in like 20,000 miles therefore the are not ideal for a daiy driver. I know with our stock compression and bottom end you should only boost 7lbs with a stage two so enternals are the only way to boost more, but if this is true about forged pistons and rods, what to do???????
Wow, sorry for all the writng just had to get this all out if anything sounds really dumb sorry what can i say i'm just a newbie right.

tell your friend to go stuff himself, that is totally incorrect. That would be a very good place to start is with the bottom end kit. however if you go with 8.6 compression you will lose power, some guys on here are having great luck with using 10.5 compression and a little lower boost level. That would be the way I would go, you just have to be more careful about tuning etc..

The forged pistons and rods will outlast what is in your car now PERIOD. Get the AFX bottem end kit. Great investment.
