#25546, "Why is my car rev limit at 6500 RPM????"

I was just seeing what my rev limit was and the rev limit came on at 6500 rpm. I am a 5-spd and its a 95 talon.

Is this normal? I have a MSD DIS-2 and its set to 7500 rpm.

any help?

Do you have indeglo gauges over your stock ones with a 8000 rpm red line?

yeah, those indiglos are meant for the ATX eclipse's which have a smaller range on the tach, so if you got the indiglos on a MTX your tach will be off, and you'll be running the car harder then you think you are, and thinking your redlining early.. hehe.

Try taking off the indiglo gauge and compare it to the stock gauges if you wanna be sure.

I have the same problem, its the Indiglos. Our RPM range with stock tach is 9000, the indiglos drop it to 8000 so we're hitting fuel cut at 7200 RPM but it says like 6500. Don't worry about it.
