Think my fuel pump has gone. Engine turns over, doesnt start. Just happened abruptly. Replaced the plugs, nada. Didn't smell any gas. Checked the plugs after cranking. No wetness. Power is getting to it, although my tester light seemed kinda dim while cranking. Anyone hear of this problem or how to verify, pretty costly. Also, know a link where it illustrates how to replace. Thanks in advance.

Ok, the fuel pump is pretty easy to change. First off you have to remove your back seat. You have to black clasps right on the front lip of the seats, just pull them and pull the seat up to remove. There will be a metal plate on the passenger side of the car with wires coming out of the top, remove the four screws. When you remove the cover you must unhook the plug from the top of the fuel pump so that you can remove the cover to the gas tank. Now crank your car to remove all the gas from the lines. When i did my fuel pump replacement, i had to jack up the car on the passenger side to remove a fuel line. Now, the line im talking about runs from the top of your gas tank cover(where the plate is) underneath your car. Use two wrenches to loosen this hose on each end, inside and under your car. Once removed you can use an 8mm socket and remove all the nuts on the cover. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THESE BOLTS!!!(i did) Once all of the nuts are removed, take the fuel pump out of the tank. Do what you have to do with the pump and just reverse what i explained. So in other words..read what i just wrote backwards Again, when tightening the 8mm nuts, do not overtighten, they will break!! where is this relay located, and how do you check it. There is power getting right up to the pump.

On my car, the relays were located on the driver's side of the firewall, near the brake resevoir I believe. There are two relays side by side. I do not remember which it is, but that should get you there. Have someone turn the key on and feel if one of the clicks. I found a replacement relay for like $5 when mine went out. If you take off the stock pair of relays, you can get your auto parts store to match it up in their books.
